1972 the founder Bob Wright has been bicycle touring in Western Canada
and the US. With a passion for touring Wright Wheels was founded
based on the philosophy that continues to hold true today. An active
holiday supports an active life style and over all general fitness. A
bicycle allows you to go at a pace which allows a person to explore,
smell, and taste what the area your traveling in has to offer.
Over the past eleven years our focus has been on family cycling as we
see the need for families to reconnect without all the distractions of
our hectic world. Family cycling allows family members to spend time
together away from the normal day to day distractions. It also enhances
a lifestyle or physical fitness and healthy living.
Wright Wheels Bicycle Tours has a long term goal of developing the
Kootenay/Selkirk Region of Canada and the United States as a World Class
cycling destination. The tour along
the International Selkirk Loop is a phenomenal ride hugging the shore
lines of the Pend Oreille River and Kootenay Lake. Its pastoral settings
and frequency of communities lends itself ideally to all levels of
cycling.

Being home based living in Nelson, British
Columbia since 1967 has allowed us to explore and become
knowledgeable in regards to the area's history and unique settings. We
are familiar with all the back roads and communities we explore. With
very low guide to rider ratio (min 1:5 max 2:15) we can cater and answer
your every request. We have extensively searched out the best
accommodations and restaurants the area has to offer. Operating in one
region gives us the advantage of knowing where to sleep and eat and
being able to negotiate the best value for our clients.
